Privacy Policy - Caller ID Name Location

Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 06, 2026

Welcome to Caller ID Name Location. Your privacy is critically important to us. This document combines our Privacy Policy and Conditions of Use ("Terms") to govern your access to and use of our mobile application, featuring Caller Identification (AdMob Ads, Caller ID, Spam Blocking), and communication management utilities (the "Service" or "App").

By downloading, installing, or using any portion of the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue all use immediately.

1. Eligibility and Age Restrictions

  • Minimum Age: You must be at least 13 years of age to access or use the App.
  • Parental Consent: If you are between 13 and 18, you may only use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Enforcement: If we discover that a child under 13 has supplied us with personal info, it will be immediately and permanently deleted from our servers.

2. Information Collection and Device Permissions

To deliver core application functionalities, optimize performance, and handle calls or text messaging efficiently, Caller ID Name Location requests and processes specific permissions depending on the features used:

  • Contacts Access (Contact List / Address Book): With your explicit and informed consent, the App accesses, collects, and syncs names and phone numbers from your device's phone book solely for caller identification, contact suggestions, and search accuracy.
  • Call Log Access & Call Functionality Permissions: Used to provide core Caller ID, block spam calls, and manage incoming/outgoing communications. This allows the app to read and display your local call history.
  • Phone State Access: Requests permission to detect incoming and outgoing calls, as well as the current call state (ringing, connected, etc.) to manage phone calls efficiently.
  • Internet & Network State Access: Required to connect to remote servers to retrieve additional caller identification and spam details online, as well as to check network connectivity.
  • Overlay Display Permissions (Draw Over Other Apps): Allows the App to display the Caller ID pop-up window or alert overlay on top of other active applications when an unknown call is received.
  • Foreground Service Permissions: Used to ensure that background operations—such as monitoring incoming calls for spam filtering—run smoothly and uninterrupted without being killed by the OS.
  • Full-Screen Notification Permissions: Enables the App to show a full-screen incoming call UI or critical spam alert directly on the lock screen or active screen.
  • Notification Permissions: Used to immediately notify users about missed calls, active incoming calls, or spam alerts in the notification center.
  • Device IDs & Technical Data: We fetch device identifiers (Android ID, Advertising ID) and crash logs to uniquely identify spam reports and ensure application stability.

3. Contact Information & Directory (Prominent Data Disclosure)

How We Handle Your Contacts (Enhanced Search):
Our Caller ID features operate using an aggregated, community-driven directory to accurately identify numbers not saved in a user's local phonebook.

  • Server Upload & Storage: With your explicit in-app consent (granted via our Prominent Disclosure screen before the system permission is requested), the names and phone numbers from your contact list will be securely uploaded to and stored on our official secure server at https://api.callerid.aquariusinfotech.com.
  • Purpose of Upload: By participating in our Enhanced Search functionality, you grant Caller ID Name Location the right to compile and process this contact data solely to build a shared directory. This database helps our user community identify unknown callers, provide smart contact suggestions, and deliver real-time spam protection.
STRICT NO-SELL POLICY: We take your data privacy with utmost seriousness. We STRICTLY DO NOT and WILL NEVER sell, trade, rent, lease, monetize, or commercially transfer your contact list data or personal information to any third-party brokers, advertisers, companies, or external entities for any purpose whatsoever. Your data remains completely safe, secure, and used solely for user-approved Caller ID services.
  • User Guarantee: By allowing Contact Information to be collected, you guarantee that you have any and all required permissions from your contacts to share such information with us.
  • Scope of Restrictions: We strictly DO NOT collect, harvest, or upload associated personal photos, physical addresses, or emails from your contact list.

4. Third-Party Services, Analytics, and Advertising

The App integrates trusted third-party SDKs that may automatically collect or process device information independently under their respective privacy terms:

  • Google Play Services
  • AdMob (Google Advertising)
  • Google Analytics for Firebase
  • Applovin, Meta, Mintegral, Liftoff, Pangle

These networks use your Mobile Advertising ID to serve relevant commercials or track app performance. We do not control their tracking technologies.

5. Data Security and Encryption

We take all reasonable precautions and implement physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your data:

  • Encryption in Transit: All communication between the App and our servers—specifically the transmission of contact data—is strictly encrypted using Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) with SSL/TLS encryption protocols.
  • Secure Cloud Infrastructure: Stored directory data is maintained on secured cloud servers managed by TopRated Techno, with access restricted to authorized personnel.

6. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure Policy

  • General Protection: As stated above, your personally identifiable info is never commercialized.
  • Technical Developers: We may share compiled, non-identifiable data with external technical developers who have entered into strict non-disclosure agreements with us solely to improve service quality.
  • Legal Requirements: We may release information when it is appropriate to comply with applicable laws, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property or safety.

7. User Control, Rights, and Data Deletion (Opt-Out)

  • Revoking Permissions: You can disable Contact, Call Log, or SMS permissions at any moment through your device’s Android System Settings.
  • Data Deletion / Hiding Requests: If you want your phone number or your synced contact data completely hidden, purged, or permanently deleted from our active database servers, please email us with your mobile number in international format. We execute verified requests promptly.

8. Limitation of Liability and Service Disclaimer

  • "As-Is" Basis: The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or real-time caller details.
  • No Liability: Caller ID Name Location shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect losses, damages, or device malfunctions arising from reliance on inaccurate caller identification or spam ratings.
  • Exclusive Remedy: If you are dissatisfied with the Service or these Terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use and uninstall the app.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. You agree that any legal proceeding shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts located in New Delhi, India.
