Information You Choose to Provide Us
Contacts List
- Purpose: Caller ID Name Location will fetch and sync your contacts from your device's phone book to show our users the best results for advanced search, matching functionality, and real-time caller identification. That’s why we require explicit permission to sync your contact list on our server to enable Enhanced Search and community-driven directory functionality.
- Data Handling & Server Upload: With your explicit in-app consent, your contact list data (names and phone numbers) is securely uploaded to and stored on our official secure server at https://api.callerid.aquariusinfotech.com. All data is encrypted in transit using secure HTTPS protocols.
STRICT NO-SELL POLICY: We take your data privacy with utmost seriousness. We STRICTLY DO NOT and WILL NEVER sell, trade, rent, lease, monetize, or commercially transfer your contact list data or personal information to any third-party brokers, advertisers, companies, or external entities for any purpose whatsoever. Your data remains completely safe, secure, and used solely for user-approved Caller ID services.
Device IDs
- Purpose: Caller ID Name Location fetches your device ID (Android ID / Advertising ID).
- Data Handling: This identifier is processed solely to uniquely identify and save spam reports, blocked numbers, and suggested names to make the community records unique and accurate.
Other Device Permissions Required
Call Logs
- Purpose: Caller ID Name Location requests permission to access your device's call logs to provide core Caller ID, Block Spam Calls, and full call log history management features. This allows the app to read and display your local communication history.
- Data Handling: The call log data is processed and stored strictly on your local device and used within the app to manage your history. It is never shared with external developers, other users, or unauthorized third-party services.
Phone State
- Purpose: Caller ID Name Location requests permission to read your device's phone state to manage phone calls in real-time. This allows the app to detect incoming and outgoing calls, as well as the current call state (ringing, connected, etc.).
- Data Handling: This data is handled strictly within the app to trigger the Caller ID window and manage call blocks efficiently. It is never shared with outside parties.
Internet & Network State
- Purpose: Caller ID Name Location requests permission to access the internet and network state to search for phone numbers online and fetch real-time spam database records.
- Data Handling: The app securely connects to our remote cloud servers to retrieve additional caller information. No other personal identifiers are shared or transmitted during this query.
Overlay Display Permissions (Draw Over Other Apps)
- Purpose: Requests permission to display system alert windows over other active mobile applications.
- Data Handling: This is used solely to display the real-time Caller ID pop-up window on your screen when an unknown or spam call is incoming.
Foreground Service & Full-Screen Notification
- Purpose: Requests permission to run essential background operations and show full-screen notifications during incoming calls.
- Data Handling: This ensures that the spam monitoring service remains running smoothly without being killed by the Android OS, and allows the full-screen custom incoming call UI to display properly even on the lock screen.
Post Notification (Android 13 Plus)
- Purpose: Requests permission to post notifications to your device's notification center.
- Data Handling: Used strictly to show immediate alerts regarding missed calls, incoming calls, or critical spam blocks.
Media Images
- Purpose: Requests permission to access your device's local image storage.
- Data Handling: This is used solely for contact profile personalization within the app interface. The images remain completely on your local device and are never shared or uploaded to our servers.
Alteration or Deletion of Your Data (Opt-Out)
Any user who wishes to hide, revoke permission, or permanently delete their phone number and synced data from our active directory database can send an e-mail providing their mobile number in international format to:
